Accidental Shooting

Battle Creek Police say a man who claimed to be the victim of a drive-by shooting later admitted he accidentally shot himself. The 35-year old first told police he was standing in his yard on Greenwood, when someone in a passing car fired a shot, striking him in the leg. He was questioned a second time at the hospital after it was discovered that the shot appeared to have been self-inflicted. He then admitted a gun he was holding discharged.
