Traffic Stop Turns Up Pot in Kalamazoo

A routine traffic stop turned up 4 ounces of pot in Kalamazoo. On Saturday, a Public Safety officer pulled over a driver for a traffic violation. When he got to the vehicle, there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana. After an investigation, 4 ounces of the drug was recovered. The 39-year-old suspect also forfeited $283 in cash and the vehicle. The Kalamazoo man said he was on his way to Lansing for Final Four festivities. He was released at the scene, and a case is being submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office for Possession with Intent to Deliver.
