Cabbie Assaulted

Battle Creek Police are looking for two teens after a cab driver said they assaulted and tried to rob him. The driver said he picked up the 14 and 15-year olds on North Wabash early Wednesday. He says they tried to keep their faces hidden with the hoods they wore and wouldn’t pay when they reached their destination on Freedom Lane. The driver told them to get out, but they refused and demanded his money. One of the suspects punched the driver in the head, but he didn’t give them anything. The two fled as the driver called 9-1-1. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Battle Creek Police.
