Teens To Be Tried
The two suspects being charged as adults in the violent beating of a bicyclist in Kalamazoo have been bound over for trial. A judge ruled there is enough evidence against Jacobi Washington and Jamel Coleman to try them. They’re charged with rioting and assault with intent to murder after allegedly attacking Timothy Stafford in February. Police say Stafford was knocked off his bike and badly beaten by several attackers while dozens of young people watched. Three juveniles face similar charges.
