Battle Creek Structure Fire

Battle Creek firefighters spent some time fighting a structure fire Saturday afternoon. Just before noon, crews responded to a wood-frame home on South 27th Street. Most of the damage was in the kitchen, as the blaze caused over 110-thousand dollars in destruction. No one was in the building, and no firefighters were hurt. Investigators think the cause of the blaze is an accident.
