Fatal Accident Victim

Battle Creek Police have released the name of the victim in a fatal car crash Wednesday on M-37 near Swedish Road. 39-year old Jeffrey Bennett of Caledonia died at Battle Creek Health System shortly after the accident. Investigators say Bennett lost control of his vehicle due to slick road conditions and struck a tree. He was employed by a Grand Rapids company and worked for four years as the food service director for the Battle Creek Public Schools. He is survived by his wife and four children.
