Police Shooting

More information has been released after a shooting incident involving a Battle Creek Police Officer early Thursday morning. Police say a 15-year old, known to be a gang member was shot once in the leg when he refused to drop a rifle he was carrying and pointed it at officers. The suspect’s name has not been released, but he may be charged as an adult with multiple counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
