Robber Sentenced

A Battle Creek man who attacked and robbed an elderly woman is going to prison. Joshua Deskins was sentenced to nine to 20 years Thursday after pleading guilty to Unarmed Robbery last month. Prosecutors say the 20-year old knocked down a 79-year old woman outside the Independent Bank in Urbandale on New Years Eve and stole her purse, in which she had 2-thousand dollars in cash.
