Hubbard Sentenced

After a long wait, the family of Ebony Lee has justice. The 24-year-old Battle Creek woman was killed in December of 2006 after being run over following an argument with her boyfriend. That man, 38-year-old Arenza Hubbard, was sentenced in a Calhoun County Courtroom this week. Hubbard left town and hid out in Detroit for almost a year following Lee’s death. He was eventually caught and charged with open murder. A plea deal allowed a conviction on a lesser charge. Arenza Hubbard will now spend the next 50-75 years in prison.
