Jobs Killer
Congressman Tim Walberg says the recent tax hikes in Michigan are driving jobs out of the state. Walberg says Michigan needs to become a state with regulatory and tax structures that encourage business growth and innovation. He says in Congress, he’s working to stop a 638-billion dollar tax increase, because Michigan’s unemployment rate proves once again that a state cannot tax its way to prosperity. The statements follow news Thursday that Michigan’s unemployment rate, already the highest in the country, skyrocketed from 6-point-9-percent in April to 8-point-5-percent in May.
