Guard Deploys
Governor Granholm is calling out the National Guard to help clean up storm damage. The National Guard is expected to help Lansing remove debris that may be blocking sight lines at traffic intersections or blocking fire hydrants. The Guard also might help in Saginaw and in Allegan, Eaton and Mason counties depending on the assessment of public safety risks. Last week, Granholm declared a state of emergency in those areas because of storm damage earlier this month.
