Disaster Practice

Emergency crwes practiced responding to a disaster in Battle Creek Wednesday. The Calhoun County Homeland Security Task Force held a training exercise at the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base. Volunteers posed as victims, while emergency crews practiced responding to several scenarios, including a terrorist bombing and a hazardous chemical spill. Authorities say practice drills are crucial in helping them prepare for a real emergency.
