State Budget Cuts Coming

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm says she plans to issue an executive order next week laying out cuts to resolve a multimillion dollar budget shortfall. The Democrat governor says the executive order should be out next Tuesday. Michigan is a facing an estimated budget shortfall of $785-million in the current budget year. Money from the federal stimulus could fill in some of that budget hole. But Granholm has said budget cuts will be needed even with the recovery act cash.
