MSU To Sell Lodge

Michigan State University says it will close its money-losing Brook Lodge Hotel & Conference Resort by Dec. 31. The school says the conference center near Augusta in Kalamazoo County has lost almost $10 million dollars in nine years. Michigan State says it will help the 22 full-time workers at Brook Lodge to apply for other jobs at the school. The former Pharmacia Corp. donated the center to the university in July 2000. The property includes 80 developed acres and 557 acres of largely undeveloped land.
