Teen Death Accidental

Hastings State Police investigators say the death of a Barry County teen over the weekend was an accident. 15-year old Donavin Prough was discovered by friends in his Johnstown Township home Friday with a blood pressure collar inflated around his neck. He was taken to the hospital and put on life support, but was pronounced dead Saturday. Prough was an 8th grade student at Hastings Middle School. Officials arranged for grief counselors at the school Monday and they will continue to be available for students.
