Shoplifter Had Felony Warrants

A 31-year-old man from Parchment was arrested Saturday on weapons and several drug charges. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a report of shoplifting at a store on Westnedge Avenue. An officer located the suspect on foot. It was soon discovered that the suspect was carrying more than just stolen goods from a store… he had a loaded pistol in his coat pocket, multiple packages of meth and marijuana, along with cash. An electric razor was found as well, the apparent stolen item from the store. The suspect also had two felony warrants and told officers that he had just done 15 years in prison. The suspect is currently being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
