Bus Attacker Plea

The 16-year old student accused of brutally beating a school bus driver in Kalamazoo was in court today. The driver, Michelle Nix was also in the court room. It was the first time she had seen her attacker since the March 3rd incident in which she was repeatedly punched in the face and head. The teen entered a no contest plea to a juvenile charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. In their recommendation to accept the plea, prosecutors asked for long term juvenile detention. The boy will be back in court for sentencing in about a month.
