Mall Operator Bankruptcy

The nation’s second largest mall operator filed for chapter eleven bankruptcy protection Thursday. General Growth Properties operates the Lakeview Square Mall in Battle Creek, The Crossroads in Portage and several others across the state. General Growth officials say customers won’t notice any changes while the company undergoes restructuring.
