Kalamazoo Promise

A report from the Kalamazoo Promise Committee shows the program continues to be a success. The Promise pays college tuition for students who graduate from the Kalamazoo Public School system. In 2006…320 students took advantage of the program. This year that number rose to about 800, and the committee expects over one-thousand students will take part next year. The Kalamazoo Promise has already paid about 10-million dollars in college tuition for Kalamazoo School graduates.
