Break-in Suspect Arrested

A Battle Creek teen is jailed on a charge of possessing burglary tools. Police stopped the 16-year old near Van Buren and Division Streets. He was carrying a screw driver and had a backpack hidden under his jacket. Police found broken vehicle glass in the backpack. The suspect had been arrested late last month on a charge of larceny from a vehicle. Police say he matched the description of the suspect in a series of car break-ins downtown, including those in the St. Phil parking lot.
