Battle Creek Stabbing

A suspect is in custody following a stabbing at a house on Summer Street early Saturday. Officers were dispatched to the home in the 100 block of Summer around 2am. Investigators say a fight had broken out at a house party and that a man was subsequently stabbed with a folding knife. The victim underwent surgery at Battle Creek Health System and his condition has been upgraded to “stable”. Detectives arrested the suspect at his home and they report they found the knife allegedly used in the attack in the man’s house. The suspect is being held pending charges of attempted murder.
