Anti-Discrimination Measure Passes
The Kalamazoo City Commission has passed a gay rights ordinance. Commissioners voted unanimously Monday to approve the measure, which protects gay, bisexual and transgender people from discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodation. Offenders face a 500-dollar fine. Churches are not included in the ordinance.
