United Leaving

United Airlines will discontinue service at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport. The airline says it will cease operations there on November 2nd. The move is part of United's effort to trim flights due to the sluggish economy and skyrockting fuel costs. United has three daily flights to Chicago and accounts for 13-percent of the passenger traffic at the airport. Delta Airlines will end Comair commuter service out of Lansing at the end of August.
