Repairs Continue

Over 210-thousand Consumers Energy customers lost power in severe storms Wednesday night…and while power has been restored for more than half, recovery has been slow in the Battle Creek area. 13-thousand homes are still without electric service in Calhoun County and about 22-thousand are waiting in Kalamazoo County. The utility has brought in 105 additional crews from four other states to help in the repair effort. Earlier restoration estimates by Consumers Energy have been pushed back. They now say some area residents may not have power until Sunday.
