Police Shooting

A Battle Creek Police Officer has been placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation of a shooting incident early Thursday morning. Officers were called to the 100 block of Hubbard Street just after 1AM on a report of a man firing a gun. When they arrived they spotted a man with a rifle. One of the officers shot and wounded the suspect...who was hospitalized in stable condition.
