Pricey Gas
AAA Michigan says gas prices rose 3 cents during the past week, putting the statewide average at $4.09 a gallon. AAA Michigan says Monday that of the cities it surveys the cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Benton Harbor and Lansing/East Lansing areas, where a gallon costs $4.07. The highest average can be found in the Marquette and Traverse City areas at $4.15 per gallon. Detroit-area drivers are paying $4.08. The statewide average for biodiesel is $4.77 and $3.54 for ethanol.
