Obama Rally
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama told a Motor City rally he'll fight to revive the nation's struggling auto industry. Obama told 20,000 cheering people at Joe Louis Arena he'll make sure Michigan continues to put the nation on wheels. Obama urged his supporters to register to vote and become volunteers. Ex-Vice President Al Gore endorsed Obama earlier in the day and gave him a warm introduction, saying he'll reverse eight of the worst years of American decision-making. Governor Granholm told Obama backers the Democratic candidate will help create new auto and energy jobs in Michigan.
