Fatal Crash

Investigators suspect speed and alcohol were factors in a weekend car crash in Jackson County that left three teens dead. Police say Benjamin Ojeda lost control while driving in Rives Township just before 4AM Saturday and hit a tree. The 17-year old was killed in the crash, along with 17-year old passenger Stephen Horton and 16-year old Marlina Sarata. !8-year old passenger Koty Walker was taken to U of M Hospital in serious condition.
