Suicide Thwarted

Battle Creek Police are seeking arrest warrants against two women after a bizarre incident Monday afternoon. Officers were called to a home on Phelps Avenue on a report of an attempted suicide. When paramedics arrived, the 38-year old woman refused treatment and even tried to bite rescue workers who were trying to help her. Another woman laid on top of the first woman, who had reportedly taken an overdose of several medications. She was eventually restrained and taken to the hospital for treatment. Both women involved could face charges for resisting police.
