Ex-Girlfriend Kidnapped

A Battle Creek man faces multiple charges after he reportedly held his former girlfriend at his home against her will for four days. Police say 62-year old Allen Ware forced the 26-year old woman into his car in Portage and took her to his home on Frelinghuysen Avenue. They say he threatened to kill her if she tried to leave. He gave her a cell phone on Monday, which she used to send a text message for help. Battle Creek authorities plan to charge Ware with false imprisonment, while he faces a kidnapping charge in Portage.
