Death Investigation

Authorities are investigating the death of a Battle creek man whose body was found along some railroad tracks. Police say a train conductor found Jody Coleman's body near the tracks on South Avenue near Dickman Road early Tuesday morning. Investigators say the 40-year old had no obvious injuries. They hope an autopsy and toxicology test will provide the answers they need.
