Buyer Beware

Calhoun County Sheriff Al Byam is advising area residents to be wary of door to door sales. The Sheriff says while some legitimate businesses work door to door, you should watch for certain warning signs, such as sales people who approach you while you are outside your home, pressure you to buy goods or services and demand immediate cash payments. Byam says always ask to see credentials…be cautious if the company is from out of state and never let anyone you don’t know into your home.
