Gun Demonstration
Gun owners marched in Hastings Thursday night to show their support for the second amendment. Some 50 people walked through town, many with holstered handguns. Carrying a handgun in public is legal in Michigan if its in plain sight and is legally owned. Organizers say the march was intended to educate the public about gun rights. But critics say it was politically motivated, because one of the organizers had written a letter to the local paper, claiming the Hastings Police Chief is against gun owners.
